A New Hampshire native, Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree at Clarkson University where he competed in Nordic Skiing at the Division I level. It was here that he became increasingly intrigued and amazed by the capabilities of the human body.
Ryan completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Franklin Pierce University where he served as a Graduate Assistant in the Spring of 2019. Currently, he enjoys his role as adjunct faculty teaching Musculoskeletal I-III and Sports Therapy courses. In 2018, he completed an internship at the Physical Therapy and Sports Science Lab at Revo Physiotherapy in Boulder, CO. His work at this state-of-the-art rehab facility allowed him to engage in biomechanical analysis for medical bike fit, gait analysis, injury prevention and return to sport testing.
Ryan brings 15 years of experience in personal training as well as coaching high school, collegiate and masters level athletes in running, triathlon, Nordic skiing and fitness for daily life. Having competed 7 years as a professional triathlete, Ryan now enjoys a multitude of endurance sports including running, cycling, ski mountaineering and Nordic skiing.
Ryan’s treatment philosophy is consistent with the principles that guide all of our providers. His focus is on biomechanical movement patterns to identify the root cause of symptoms. Ryan’s approach includes manual techniques, pain science education and corrective exercise with an emphasis on motor control and movement efficiency to restore proper muscle function.
