Dr. Brett Coapland is the founder and clinic director of Performance Health Spine & Sport Therapy. He studied Exercise Science at Appalachian State University and is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. He is a licensed chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Dr. Coapland has extensive training in soft tissue modalities including Active Release Techniques (ART) and dry needling. He has a passion for the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of low back and hip dysfunction. Over the years, he has dedicated a great deal of time and energy studying and implementing strategies to get patients out of pain quickly and back to their active lifestyle.
Dr. Coapland has completed numerous endurance events including the Cascade Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run and Ironman® Lake Placid. He enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle – running, hiking 4000 footers with his daughter and shooting hoops in the driveway with his son. Dr. Coapland is passionate about his work and the health and wellness of his patients; he is always striving to provide the most recent, evidence-based therapies available. As a lifelong learner in his field he regularly attends post-graduate courses to expand his knowledge and to better serve his patients.
